Knitting Gnomes

with Jamie Anthony – Friday 9:30AM to 12:30PM

This fast-paced knitting class will take participants through the process of knitting an adapted version of “Gnoah” the gnome from the Imagine Landscapes knitting pattern, Gnever Gnot Gnoming.

Participants will be shown updated techniques from the pattern creator, and adaptations the instructor has made to the pattern to make knitting these cute little gnomes easier and quicker.

Participants will leave this class with a completed gnome and their own Imagine Landscapes pattern that includes “Gnoah” and three additional gnomes.

Cost of patter, stuffing, & poly pellets available in class: $10.00

Techniques needed:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Knit stitch
  • Increase, Decrease
  • Knowledge of I-Cord helpful
  • Please note: due to the pace of the class, basic knitting will not be taught

Students need to bring:

  • Scissors
  • daring needles
    • Suggested needle size is 8; no smaller than 6
  • stitch marker
  • Worsted weight yarn in three different colors (for hat, body, and beard). Small amounts, ends of skeins work well for this project
  • Double pointed knitting needles to correspond to weight of yarn
  • Pen or pencil and notebook to take notes
  • Email address required so that students can receive digital pattern download (instructor will provide hard copy of adapted pattern for class instruction)
